Wellbeing, Creativity and Connection with Wellington Timebank

Winter well-being is so important. My workshop follows the five steps to well-being as a creative pathway and an invitation to deepen connection with self and others.

Step One: To talk and listen and to feel more connected.

Step Two: Give, your time, your words and your presence.

Step Three: Take Notice, Remember the simple things that give you joy.

Step Four: Keep learning, embrace new experiences, see opportunities and surprise yourself.

Step Five: Be active, do what you can to enjoy yourself, move your mood and find the joy in what you do.

What a joy to collaborate with Wellington time bank and to provide a workshop as part of the well-being series presented this year.

I presented my workshop on the five steps to well-being at the Brooklyn Community Center on August 26 at 2:00 pm - 4.00pm. We flowed over because we were so warmed up to each other.

We had a small but entirely charming group of people who we warmly welcome to our lovely little space as we connected over cookies and cacao shared stories about where we land and where we come from, why our places are great and maybe some improvements to be made. I learned so much from Elliot about Brooklyn it was amazing.  So many wonderful things learned about the different groovy things happening in Wellington and around NZ.

There was much to be gained in being present to each other and being able to see validate and celebrate each individual person in the room. To acknowledge, laugh, dance and respond to stories with music and action.

Quirky Music with Little Ducky

Whatever it is, you tell your story and we will respond with music.

Finishing with a beautiful song by Desiree Dawson called "I am beautiful" you can check out the original here: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cr3Ms0opXSU/ it was a lovely afternoon and I would be delighted to do it again.

A big thank you to Rowena at the Wellington Timebank our awesome participants the Brooklyn Community Centre for the venue, Baron Hasselhoff's for our Cacao and our lovely Wellington city for turning out a great weather day. We were indeed blessed.
